Heather Anne Ritchie-Carson, in a KISSmetrics post, discusses the difference between public relations (practiced poorly) and human relations, where mutually beneficial relationships are the aim. Actually, the latter is PR practiced well, but the human relations distinction is helpful for learning purposes.
