Pop culture phenomenon Stranger Things can not be contained to the screen.
Since its release in 2016, the sci-fi/horror series has inspired Halloween costumes, two themed sneaker lines, an IRL Dungeons & Dragons starter set, a special-edition camera, a LEGO collection, the revival of New Coke, ice cream flavors, and an augmented reality mobile game.
Even Burger King is taking a bite out of the Netflix darling.
Ahead of the show’s third season—scheduled to drop on July 4—the fast-food chain will serve its Whopper upside down.
“Pro tip: You can’t get eaten by something in the Upside Down if you’ve already eaten the upside-down Whopper,” Burger King wrote on YouTube
Starting June 21, folks in select cities can enter an alternate dimension for less than $6.
Participating Burger King locations will also have limited-edition Stranger Things T-shirts, pins, paper crowns, and ketchup packets, according to Nerdist.
There is no word on how long the cross-promotion will last, so make like a Demogorgon and get eating*.
