Talking Turkey at the Salvation Army
This post isn't about technique but a sure-enough PR need the Salvation Army of Tucson and probably other charities have as Thanksgiving approaches next week. Donations have "gone down dramatically" in Tucson while the number of families in need of a renewing holiday meal is increasing.

Tamara McElwee, a spokeswoman for the Salvation Arm of Tucson, put it this way: "Unfortunately, each year the number of families in need seems to increase. We understand things are harder for everyone right now but we are hopeful that the generosity and compassion of our donors will see us through the season."

McElwee's center is in need of hundreds of frozen turkeys, freshly baked pies, and other holiday dinner staples.

A need in Tucson may well be a need everywhere. Why not call your own Salvation Army center or other local charity aiming to feed the hungry to see what their needs might be for Thanksgiving dinner?
