PRFrame a Great Free Tool
We've come upon a great Web tool for keeping PR shops big and small in the awareness game -- a Firefox ad-on called PRFrame -- that essentially provides users with a PR news ticker, free.

PRFrame, created by co-founders Anton Davidenko, London, and Alexander Korotkov, Moscov, is a Firefox add-on that reminds us of a Wall Street "ticker" -- only what's coming in is PR industry news from various sources, not stock prices. Davidenko and Korotkov, the founders of BeFrame, say "The main idea was to create a tool that could help PR people to save their time in everyday working routine and bring useful information right to their desktop browser. We don't want to impose our vision but offer a choice of existing resources that could be helpful to follow the market and handle PR work in the most efficient way."

They also have AdFrame based on a similar concept.

PRFrame was introduced in May, but should come into its own with Version 2.0 launched last month. It's got pull-down listings for PR, general and social media, for doing traditional and social media monitoring, for following the PR newswires, for keeping up with PR industry awards and professional organizations as well as incoming PR newsfeeds, and for events and a Google blog search window. It's like being at a PR convention without leaving your desk.

The idea is to enable PR pros to catch waves from their desktops -- inspired and potentially terrifically useful!
