Old Navy's Deaf Relational Ear
Come on, guys at Old Navy – selling T-shirts to girls that obviously belittled being a “young aspiring artist” instead of an “astronaut” or “president” showed a relational density that hasn’t been entirely relieved by removing the offending items. They shouldn’t have been created in the first place – anyone with an ounce of PR savvy would have recognized that.

When you're in business with any degree of relational awareness, you need to look around and ask “Would what I’m proposing be offensive to anyone?” and, if so, quit proposing it. That’s that. (Old Navy was rightfully bashed on Twitter for not recognizing the obvious.)

Fortune notes that Old Navy is a unit of Gap Inc.
