How Twitter Can Complement Your Link Building Campaign

Since trust factor is such a big area for online marketing right now search engines like Google have made it important and necessary to be utilizing all aspects of social platforms, including twitter. The one link that Twitter gives you is not much but is important on the grand scheme of things when analyzing your over all link building program. Twitter does however create a great platform to build and create links in other ways. By learning how to incorporate it into your daily business routine you could quickly build up some newly found traffic to your website and gain exposure.
Building Followers: Since Twitter started everyone that uses this communication tool has always wanted more and more followers. It has gotten to a point of who can have the most bragging rights but it is important to have a targeted group of followers. There are many directories out there that will allow you to search for targeted groups of people to follow. Instead of aimlessly connecting with people a more targeted approach will bring qualified traffic your way over time.
Blog Posts: One great way to get people to your website or blog is by dropping a link to each blog post right in your twitter feed. You don’t have to only use your Twitter account for this type of communication but this mixed in with normal communication is a nice way to build up loyal readers to your blog. Dropping links in your Twitter profile could put your blog on the map, especially if you have a decent amount of followers to your account.
Communicate: Start conversations with others. If you are new to Twitter it might take some time before you really start to develop followers who see your tweets but it is important to start conversations so you can get the ball rolling. That is how you will get others to retweet your material as you post it. That is what these social platforms are designed for. It is to create relationships with people that might have been a bit more difficult to get a hold of in the past.
Retweet: If you see someone has an interesting blog post or tweet don’t be scared to retweet it. Someday the favor could be returned turning into a surge of new followers for your business. All this could result in a great amount of new loyal readers or visitors to your website or blog. Eventually retweeting others posts could turn into new business partnerships or even a new client. Reaching out and scratching somebody else’s back can have multiple desired outcomes.
