Google Launches Google Domains for Small Businesses
 
Small businesses — minor brands — need help in order to compete in this ever-changing marketplace. That much is clear. But what help do they need, and from where do they get it? 

Small business is as rewarding as it is demanding. Though resources abound, it does take an astute entrepreneur to take the right steps and take the right risks. We've talked about how many small businesses lack an advertising strategy. It also has surfaced that more than 50 percent of small businesses lack a web presence.

Enter Google Domains.

Google Domains is Google's beta site for registering domains. For as low as $12/year or as much as $50/year (TLD), you can own your web presence. The other sites out there, like GoDaddy and its counterparts, offer similar prices, but this comes from a company many small businesses know and use on a daily basis. The trial cost for working with Google over another company is very low.

We love this new service because it is very bare bones; exactly what a small business owner really need just to get started. As they build their brand and finally form an advertising strategy, everything else can follow.
