Facebook Becomes a Newsstand
 
Wow, thought you'd like to see — no, you need to see — the new Facebook editions of The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. They call them "social readers," and we're indebted to Adam Sherk for bringing attention to them on his blog. "With the right monetization strategy," says Adam, "there is no reason that a news organization needs to be limited to the confines of its own website."

The thing is, though, are these further steps away from newsprint? They certainly appear to be so.
