Beyond Cops, Wearable Cameras Might Have PR Applications
They're designed for use by police officers, and you might call them a crisis communication tool, but at some point applications for public or media relations generally are likely to be found for the new miniature wearable camera by Taser. "For cops," says Venture Beat, "they may be the best way to record incidents, avoid lawsuits, and stay one step ahead of disastrous PR and public outrage."

Taser's Axon Flex camera mounts on a pair of Oakley sunglasses and feeds a small recording pack. It's Taser's second or third attempt at a wearable camera, and looks like it's cool and compact enough to catch on. We agree that if a PR person needs to record an event, he or she can hold a camera. But, ingenious as we are, uses for a wearable, hands-free version are likely to crop up.
