Social Media Intern - Community Manager
A full-service advertising agency in Chicago is looking to add a social media intern/community moderator to its team.
This part-time position requires 20-25 hours per week and is based in our Chicago River North office. Job duties include updating social networks, writing/editing blog posts, working with clients, and supporting our social media team with projects as they come up. The duration of the position is 3-4 months, with an opportunity to become a full-time employee after that time period expires.

You:
-A proven wordsmith, whether you're writing 140 characters, 140 words or 140 pages.
-Know how to maintain an immaculate online presence. (Take a look at your Facebook page. Would anything on there offend your grandma's friends? If so, don't apply. You can be sure we'll be checking in.)
-Current student or recent graduate, with a background in Journalism, English, Advertising, Marketing or Business.
-A tech geek, familiar with the latest trends, social platforms, and software.
-Have a forward-thinking perspective, are proactive, a fast learner and can quickly adapt to changing conditions.
-Familiar with Microsoft Office and have experience working on a Mac, although that really should go without saying.
Applicants should reply with a résumé, cover letter, and 2-3 writing samples (blog posts, college essays, news articles, etc.). An online portfolio is a plus, but not required. |
