Burson-Marsteller's Digital Strategy team is looking to hire Manager level Digital Strategists in their New York, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles offices with approximately 7 years of proven experience in public relations.
This position requires managing client work and campaigns as well as creating strategy and implementing tactics. The Manager will serve as senior client counsel on establishing social media programs and infrastructure. The position also requires relationship building and new business identification/growth by leading the social media component of new business pitches, such as responding to RFPs and sales presentations. The Manager will lead a team of digital strategists/project managers and as such must be able to provide strategic guidance and administrative oversight.
The candidate must:
Have strong understanding of digital strategy, design, production and project management as well as tactics to leverage social media
Have experience managing projects from client briefing/conceptualization through quality assurance/launch, including serving as liaison between client teams and production staff
A strong understanding of the role/uses of digital tactics within larger, integrated communications strategies
Have strong attention to detail, be a team player and a strong commitment to ensuring client satisfaction
Have an established presence online (blog, Twitter, YouTube channel, etc.#
Have the ability to identify, work with and explain key social media metrics
Have experience managing a staff including scheduling and administrative duties
Be willing to proactively generate new business opportunities and respond to agency-generated new business requests
Be able to demonstrate strong writing skills pertaining to digital marketing content
The ideal candidate would have strong proven knowledge of user-generated media, online social networks, and front and back-end programming, as well as prior interactive, advertising or public relations agency experience.
Candidates must have experience with social media and relationships with key bloggers. Experience working on the digital side of political campaigns is also a very strong plus.
