Position Overview
FRONTLINE, one of the nation's most respected investigative documentary units, is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to help us grow our audience and raise FRONTLINE’s visibility by creating, optimizing, and segmenting world class email newsletters. The Email Marketing Specialist will also be tasked with collecting and testing information on what strategies are most effective at increasing open rates and driving engagement. 

The ideal candidate has a folder full of their favorite emails, can build beautiful HTML templates from scratch, analyzes every subject line in their inbox and obsesses about getting the most meaningful message in front of the right subscribers. We seek someone with top notch copywriting and editing skills, with advanced knowledge of database management (read: list segmentation), A/B testing, and deliverability best practices. Our successful candidate knows most emails are read on mobile, so they always design for a responsive experience. 

The successful Email Marketing Specialist knows HTML coding for email design, email delivery infrastructure, and email authentication, is familiar with HTML and cross device/client/browser rendering as well as cross-platform email techniques for major email clients such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and Apple Mail, etc… and has strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams in a fast-pace news environment. 

A deep passion and understanding of journalism is a big plus.

Skills Required
At least three years of experience with marketing and campaign automation tools.
