Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in Illinois to be considered for this position.
Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
-
Determine, and manage the development of, the most effective ways to market selected ISSA products and services, based on member needs and differences.
-
Develop marketing research tools as needed and use them to improve our understanding of our members, customers and potential targets.
-
Analyze ISSA membership and industry needs to help departments develop new programs or services to meet those needs, as well as how best to market them.
-
Develop marketing campaigns from brainstorming to creative and content development, to completion. Involves creative direction as well as coordinating with staff, designers, and outside vendors.

Compile, write and edit marketing content, press releases, and occasional articles on variety of industry-related topics.
-
Develop print and electronic sales-support material for various ISSA departments as needed.

Evaluate and execute exhibiting best-practices for ISSA at industry events, and at times work the booth at these events to promote ISSA and its members.

Review industry media kits and communicate with editorial staff to secure content spots in relevant issues for ISSA.

Review online marketing content to update and expand as needed.

Bring forward new ideas that can improve the organization and its marketing.

Valued Skills

Applied knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)

Working knowledge and/or interest in social media and applicable marketing and user-engagement techniques

Experience with Web content management system to create and edit various Web pages, working knowledge of HTML is a plus
-
Experience with CRM software and database management is a plus
-
Working knowledge of SEM and pay-per-click online advertising strategies is a plus
