Provide vision and leadership in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all marketing communications in support of a major healthcare client. This lead account position will drive the strategic agenda and work in collaboration with senior management and direct reports to oversee all day to day account activity. Must have experience making informed decisions based on relevant market research and the latest marketing trends and concepts.
Must be able to:
- Partner with client and internal teams to plan and execute multiple campaigns throughout the year.
- Lead client in identifying and understanding brand barriers and strategic vision in collaboration with account leadership; challenge strategies and directions not aligned with the brand.
- Develop client(s) scope of service or project agreements with account leadership.
- Develop staffing plan and ensure appropriate support of the overall scope with leadership, creative and media services and finance.
- Lead cross-functional team in support of client needs; monitor and manage team activity to ensure timely delivery of products and services to account(s).
- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of client relationship including compliance to contract/agreements, monthly billing, write-offs, etc.; ensure existing new business and cross-selling revenue goals are achieved.
- Partner with creative team leader and media director to execute all strategic initiatives.
- Enhance and oversee relationships with other marketing partners of clients, as required.
- Facilitate communication between team members and clients necessary to maintain strong relationships and effective account management.
- Resolve conflict and celebrate success; set clear team priorities; explain brand objectives and strategies; define success in terms of the whole team.
- Keep Exec Leadership apprised of critical client concerns and opportunities; provide brand review meeting content.
- Provide management direction and developmental support to direct reports in preparation for future positions; provide challenging and stretching assignments; push tasks down to empower others; share ownership and visibility.
Responsibilities include;
- Daily interaction with the client -- including presenting to health system/client leadership
- Writing internal and external strategic plans and documents
- Building new and existing client relationships
- Overseeing a multi-million dollar budget
- Managing internal teams and resources professionally and effectively
- Projecting financial goals and spending for client on a quarterly basis
Minimum requirements:
- Extensive agency experience working with hospital and healthcare clients (8 years minimum)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic planning and writing skills
- Ability to think, speak and write strategically
- Solid presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively play with a team...and lead a team
