The Director of Strategy is the agency leader in driving fully integrated marketing solutions through our media agnostic lens providing a holistic strategic approach using traditional marketing, Web 2.0, mobile and other emerging technologies to create meaningful, relevant and long-lasting relationships with consumers and shoppers • Brings a passion for strategic marketing both online and offline and applies and integrates strategic thinking into the agency process using consumer, shopper and audience insights to inspire, guide and evaluate our work • Leads agency Insights and Strategy group including brand, shopper marketing, digital and communication strategy as well as research and analytics • Serves as an agency master of collaboration • Serves as a visionary that can apply disciplined thought and process into an unstructured model
• Seeks out developmental opportunities and actively participates in agency and professional training initiatives and seminars training
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 15+ years industry experience required • Experience in marketing research with analytical skills • Proven knowledge and experience in the digital space • Strong understanding of the role digital plays across all disciplines • Proven success – inspiring work with quantifiable market impact • Strong track record leading/guiding both direct and indirect staff • Current fluency in promotions marketing and consumer trends • Extensive background in marketing and account management or account planning for consumer brands and retailers • Solid experience conceptualizing and integrating digital marketing strategy • Solid understanding of decision-support methodologies (statistical methodologies, qualitative tools and diagnostic techniques and quantitative methodologies) • Ability to be flexible in an evolving role • Strong new business development track record (insight & strategy that wins) • Proven ability to effectively lead clients and agency team • Exceptional communication skills • Strong grasp of agency fiscal responsibilities • Solid ability to effectively present and sell agency work and agency points of view • Flexibility to work extra hours with little or no advance notification.
