Position Summary
The Associate Creative Director fulfills the leadership tasks and deliverables of their assigned client accounts. The Associate Creative Director specifically works in support of the department of the Creative Director. Specifically, the Associate Creative Director assists in leading and directing cross-disciplinary development and execution of all creative strategies. The Associate Creative Director is responsible for representing and communicating Organics’ creative and business philosophy, methodology and capabilities to current and potential clients, as well as across all departments, business units and service lines. Additionally, they develop and execute account growth strategies with account core team members to meet account P&L goals set by the engagement lead. This is a hands on design role in which the candidate will be expected to lead by example and have strong communication skills in support of directing the aesthetic direction of the project.
The Associate Creative Director is a conceptual team leader who is constructive, willing to take creative risks, charismatic, smart, committed to a vision. Passion, perspective, innovation and impact are the Organic core values a potential candidate will be expected to embody. Graphic Design expertise is mandatory along with team management, client facing skills and the ability to sell design. This position requires the capabilities to direct and enhance the efforts of a creative team consisting of designers, information architects, illustrators, interface developers and flash artists. Therefore, the Associate Creative Director must have a well-rounded understanding of graphic design, information architecture, usability, technology, and experience design. Applied conceptual strategy, brainstorm facilitation, day-to-day shepherding of a project to completion and team play with engagement managers, production, and technology leads are all part of daily life for an Associate Creative Director at Organic. The role will require an up-to-date understanding of current design trends and making the team and group aware of then.
Education/Work Experience
5+ yrs overall experience preferred including: 4+ yrs in two or more of the following areas: multimedia, advertising, interactive advertising, game interface design, Internet design, marketing, publishing, broadcast, film or television. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Online portfolio with engaging designs is required for consideration. Expertise as a graphic designer. |
