Pity poor Starbucks. They just can’t keep a lid on controversy when they introduce a new seasonal cup.
OK, this doesn’t really merit pity, and there’s nothing poor about the nation’s largest coffee chain, but at this point it seems they are a victim of their own popularity, so that just about anything they do is going to rub some people the wrong way.
This cup kerfuffle redux involves a green container with a contiguous drawing of hundreds of random people and no verbiage, although a company statement says the point of the design is to “celebrate community” with their employees and their customers.
