PR's For Real – Always, Please |

Why do some people just fail to get it? Like the director of a senior center in Cranston, Rhode Island, who thought it would be clever to have a fake “old lady” seated next to her as she made a press announcement. Public relations needs to be genuine, always.
The offending executive thought she ought to have an oldster seated next to her as she announced a new program of teenagers shoveling snow for seniors. So she asked David Roberts, a senior center bus driver to dress up as an elderly lady for her. Her did, with entirely predictable consequences.
Don’t trifle, dear friends, with PR, ever. It’s an authentic discipline and needs to be regarded as such. Always.
