A Launched Peach Makes a Splat

In the past few days, the media has been aflutter over a new social app that…well…if you’re an Android user, you don't have a darn clue what it does. The reviews ranged from glowing to middling to adding Peach to the deadpool.

CNET may have said it best: “...if nothing else, just claim your username now and come back if it gets more popular.”

Maybe this means I’m getting old (my peach fuzz is now a 5 o’clock shadow?), but somehow, nothing about another social channel resonated with me…nor anyone I tend to interact with on a regular basis.

Yes, Peach was all over Twitter for a 48-hour window, and the PR firm behind the service did an incredible job getting coverage. But somehow this feels like a solution without a problem.

Sadly for Peach, that seems like the sweetest that things will be. After all, the Internet seems to only have enough room in its heart for one spoiled fruit.
