|Digging Into Research – A Valued PR Skill Too
By: Doug Bedell
Have we noted the movie “Spotlight”. Don’t think so, but we should. The Pacific Standard blog notes that it’s “not just a love letter to journalism before clickbait, viral videos, and ever contracting news cycles. It is also an ode to research.”
Good reporters specialize in in-depth research, and you ought to join them in the practice of indefatigable sleuthing. It can be catching!
Hopefully, you won’t have to be plumbing a scene like sexual abuse by Boston priests. But the more we dig into anything important to our interests, including our PR interests, the more insight we’re likely to amass in return. And that can prove profitable indeed. So start, or keep on, digging!
