With its PR firm PadillaCRT, chemical giant BASF pulled off one of this year’s best PR campaigns, convincing more than 50 busy journalists to attend a three-day media retreat in North Carolina to hear about the company’s latest developments in the agribusiness.

The results were impressive enough to earn a Silver win in the “Best General Business Campaign” at Bulldog Reporter’s 2015 Media Relations Awards.

Campaign results were impressive: 160 interviews with print, radio, and television journalists, more than 400 news stories containing event content, total media coverage exceeding 35 million media impressions, and 919 social media mentions during the event, reaching a potential audience of 603,611 with an additional reach of 467,715 via retweets and shares.
