Good communication is one of the most under-valued, yet vitally necessary, attributes of any corporate setting. A truism? Indeed. Yet here we have the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania lecturing CEOs on how they “can adopt a 21st-century approach to communication.”

A piece like this is important for PR practitioners to ponder and promote. That’s because “many senior leadership circles still tend to shun the field of communications, considering it too ‘soft’.” Soft? The only softness about effecting a strong, relational communication style is in the head of “leaders” who don’t understand what we’re talking about.

We thus present you with a solid piece of weekend reading from the Wharton School.
