|... And Watch Those Airlines!
By: Doug Bedell
Here’s an opportunity for social media vigilance to the relational benefit of airline travelers – that could be any of us as circumstances arise.
CBS Money Watch reports that Dr. Fiona Schott Morton, a Yale economics professor, has published a study finding that the four largest U.S. airlines – Delta, American, United and Southwest – are being snippy about providing their fare and route information for online comparisons.
As if to confirm the allegation, a Delta spokesperson says “Delta reserves the right to determine who it does business with and where and how its content is displayed.”
Watch your wallets, air travelers! And let your social media outlets know what you’re experiencing in airline pricing.
