Signs of Our Digital Times: A PR Initiative from Australia

This may seem whimsical, but it’s not; it’s an illustration of the global reach of our amazing, and often challenging, communication systems these days. We’ve come upon a blog post from Toop & Toop, a real estate firm in Adelaide, Australia, that points up the demanding nature of e-mail if you’re in a service business and how, relationally, you may need to fight technology with more technology.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on the new system that Anthony Toop outlines for allowing “all parties to follow the progress of any maintenance.” It won’t be launched until later this month, but Anthony is obviously enthusiastic over the new approach that his daughter Suzannah and her team came up with after hiring a programmer to help with the challenge. “It is VERY clever,”  he exudes.

And that’s what you have to be in PR terms these days, when technology presents a host of new communication challenges and opportunities — very clever.
