Most of the time on here I try to blog about items of importance to us flacks, such as why internal customers are as important (or more) than external customers; why a successful pitch campaign oftentimes depends on the timing of your pitch; etc. But not today.

Today I want to do something a little bit different...
Just today I happened across a very interesting and uplifting piece on LinkedIn Pulse contributed by Bernard Marr. Marr is, according to the information on his profile, a best-selling author, keynote speaker, and consultant in strategy, performance management, analytics, KPIs, and big data.
Marr’s piece, titled Inspiring Quotes To Help You Get Through Your Work Day, had a plethora of quotes which can help any jaded flack with an inspirational energy boost. At the top of his article, he writes:
“If you find yourself in a little mid-week or mid-day slump, take a few moments to re-energize yourself with these inspiring quotes from some of the world’s greatest thinkers. Sometimes, all it takes is a little reminder to boost your spirits and refocus your day.”
Skimming through the listings, here are two or three of my favorites:
Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.
 –H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.
–Theodore Roosevelt
Someone once told me that 'time' is a predator that stalks us all our lives. But I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment because it will never come again.
 –Jean-Luc Picard, Captain, USS Enterprise
What ones will you find as your favorites to recharge and refocus you?  yeswink
