Gini Dietrich has it right. Reputation exists online these days. Not exclusively, of course, but importantly. People head online as readily as pouring their morning coffee. No car to start or bus to take. We were in our local department store last week and found four check-out stations empty. It wasn’t easy to buy underwear there. 

So pay heed to Gini as she lists and discusses 14 principles for building your online reputation, starting with creating “a strong online monitoring program” using Talkwalker Alerts. (Did you know about that one?) Reputation doesn't exist exclusively online, of course. (Amazon is an obvious exception.) But it's important to be well-represented online, and Gini points the way.

You can spend some time online explaining who you are. In that sense, PR and marketing are indeed merging.
