So often, as comms professionals, we overlook a simple truth. We tirelessly edit our press releases, blogs, tweets, status updates, etc., to ensure that every word carries meaning. As the saying goes, we make sure that not a single hair is out of place.

Then we slap stock photography into the post and start the process over again.

Well, if this case study discussed by Smriti Chawla is correct, we are doing ourselves a dramatic disservice.

Essentially, Chawla highlights how a basic image swap on a moving company’s website led to an uptick of close to $10,000 per month.

Awesome stuff!

The lesson is simple. In a world where around 2/3 of the population can be classified as a visual learner, don’t forget to make sure the images you use are as meticulously selected as the text you write.
