Being in business on your own, you may have heard, can be a rocky road. True, for some of the reasons Bill Comcowich lists. Yet he's "delighted" with his own success. 

His first advisory: "Start-up costs are usually substantially higher than expected," for such things as corporate or LLC filing fees and liability insurance. Don't leave your home office, he's advising, without them.
