Bezos on the Beat at The Washington Post |

Jeff Bezos is the latest to wrestle with the ultimate fate of newspapers . May the chief executive of Amazon.com Inc. succeed handsomely in his new role as owner of The Washington Post. The Internet is "transforming almost every element of the news business," Bezos wrote in a letter to The Post's employees. "There is no map, and charting a path ahead will not be easy. We will need to invent, which means we will need to experiment."
Bless Bezos for his willingness to invest the $250 million he's paying for The Post in that worthy effort. If anyone can arrest, nay halt, the decline of newspapers, perhaps the father of the Kindle can.
The Bezos story is treated more thoroughly by Forbes, BU Public Relations, and everythingpr among, no doubt, others.
