Jeff Haden at Inc. magazine gets lots of questions from readers on "how to find a great public relations agency." Because Jeff has "no clue," he asked Richard Furness, senior managing partner at Finn Partners, for his sense of the matter. Furness starts from the mindset of the potential client and advises, "Don't hire a PR agency" for eight clear-cut reasons that anyone in PR should be mindful of.
Mainly, they have to do with aims, objectives, personalities, and measurement. Keep them ever in mind.
