Flacks and Good CSR

Those of us who are flacks have obligations to our wider communities; agencies even more so. In this age when good corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a very desirable thing, this flack would like to recognize one PR agency that is making a concerted effort to help assist victims in NJ and NY from the recent ravages wrought by Superstorm Sandy at the end of October.

SWB&R, a leading multi-discipline agency (including PR) located in Bethlehem, Pa., recently joined hands with Adams Outdoor and other sponsors to have a special drive for needed items such as non-perishable food, clothing/blankets, cleaning supplies, and black garbage bags. The campaign, known as Helping Neighbors, holds its first event in Hellertown, PA, on December 1 of this year, with a listing of other drop-off locations also provided on its initial flyer. Other events are slated to follow as the recovery effort continues.

Kudos to SWB&R for rallying others in its communities to lend a helping hand!
