Could you use a pep talk? Times are rough and income-generation opportunities may be sputtering. How best to keep your spirits up?  One way immediately at hand is to read this lengthy digest of a talk Amanda Miller Littlejohn gave to an audience of PR pros last month. She advises that you "make yourself client #1."

PR people work so much in the background that they tend to stay out of their own movie, too much so at any rate. But Amanda urges you to embrace the spotlight, build your own web presence, and let everyone know about the resourceful pro you are. Read what she has to say; it will be good for you. 

But afterwards, don't be pushy or cocky. We know about those guys, too.
