"Corporate speak" is reviled and feared by most PR professionals for its ability to instantly turn reporters and the public off to any idea their company or client tries to convey. Now, they have Bullfighter on their side. A quick download and installation creates a "Bullfighter" menu in Word. After finishing your document, run it through the Bullfighter to get information on reading level, BS quotient, and more. It will help to spot documents with unnecessarily long words or sentences.

Yahoo, once considered a Web contender, is now known for Flickr, Yahoo! Search, and the Yahoo! Directory. The company just turned 15; it's hard to believe they've been around that long.
Online space is tricky (like K-Mart owning Sears and can fool hard-core analysts. If you'd told me AOL would outlive Netscape 15 years ago, I would've thought you were crazy.

A recent headline ("Survey: Men more likely to tweet, Facebook") jumped out at me from thousands of others in my RSS reader, and my initial reaction was disbelief.
The survey, from Liberty Mutual’s “Responsibility Project” social media survey, appeared in several associated publications and gave the topic pretty short shrift.
According to the article, the survey pointed to a gender gap in social media usage across the board, with men much more likely to be users of social media.

Facebook and Omniture announced plans to join forces, enabling Facebook's advertisers flexibility and optimization not currently available. I won't bore you by explaining Facebook. However, many who have heard of Omniture (purchased by Adobe in October 2009) may not be familiar with their services.
Omniture describes themselves as "the leading provider of online business optimization," which is delivered through the Omniture Online Marketing Suite.
