You remember the Old Spice ad.

“Hello, ladies. Look at your man. Now back to me. Now back at your man. Now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me.”

If I told you that was one of the most memorable Super Bowl ads of all time, I’m sure many of you would agree. Except, it didn’t air during the Super Bowl.

I’m both old enough to remember when every Super Bowl ad actually debuted during the game and young enough to feel that the notion of a marketing effort of that magnitude beginning only on game day feels odd.

This year, as in recent years, you can watch many of the Super Bowl advertisements online right now, well in advance of the game itself. YouTube even runs a promotion where viewers can rate those ads.
