Giphy is now making it easier for us to create GIFs.

If you're unfamiliar with Giphy, it indexes GIFs for users to search and share. Their collection of GIFs comes from which GIFs are the most popular and shared across the web. GIFs are used across all kinds of media, and have quickly become a favorite of Internet users.

According to Giphy's COO Adam Leibsohn, “GIFs are working, and they’re really excellent because what they do is borrow from culture."

The near-instantaneous ability to share GIFs with each other makes them appealing. They also have been confusingly complicated to make.

In an effort to make GIF creation easier, Giphy developed GiphyCam. The app, currently only available for iOS, allows users to make themselves the center of the GIF. You can add backgrounds, graphics, and filters.

The App Store reviews are largely positive, with some pointing out that their communication with friends is becoming just a series of GIFs.
