Recycled Execs |

With dissident shareholders (read: Investment Groups) unhappy with the proposed sale of Red Lobster for a paltry $2.1 Billion, a move is afoot to replace the entire Board of Directors of parent company Darden. The replacements would include many former executives of other restaurant chains.
While that seems prudent, we should look behind the curtain and determine how successful these executives were, or NOT!
Chances are pretty good that they left because their results were less than stellar. Don't buy the "to pursue other opportunities" BS. They just didn't get the job done.
And so here they are, trying to run another well-known brand into the ground.
Or further into the ground.
It's similar to the NFL.
Or MLB.
Or NBA.
Experience counts more than success.
Since that seems to be the case, most of us should be on boards of directors!
