Dog Days of Spring |

You might think this was a blog about dog food. Wrong!
Hot dogs? Maybe!
We have gone from winter (grudgingly) to what is supposed to be spring. But we have really gone from cold and wet to less cold and wet, and soon to hot and wet. Two seasons for sure, perhaps three, but hardly four.
So, where does that leave advertisers?
Customers are desperate for ads for hot dogs, hamburgers, and warmer-weather fun stuff, but Mother Nature is putting a damper (pun intended) on that. We don’t get the sense that summer is close, and so spring festers, unsure of which direction to take us. And the advertising seems destined for total disconnect.
Planners can’t rely on the calendar anymore to time media campaigns. Creatives can’t figure what to say right now.
It’s crazy!
It’s ludicrous!
It’s 21st-century spring!!!!
