It may be shameful to admit, but as adults, chances are we’ve all had a similar situation. After a fun night at the bar, the club, or maybe a lounge of some sort, we sit in the car preparing to leave and that little thought pops into our heads. We ask ourselves if maybe we’ve had too much to drink. The question is usually followed by trying to figure out if you’re at the legal limit or not. Thanks to a new tool and an app to go along with it, we can solidify an answer for ourselves.

Alcohoot is a small device that will change the way people “drink responsibly.” A small tool that is easily transportable, Alcohoot is a BAO tool that can be plugged into your phone’s headphone jack for use. To operate it is rather simple; just plug it in and exhale into it, just like a breathalyzer test. The app that goes along with it is what makes Alcohoot so revolutionary. There are numerous features that will aid any individual in potentially saving his or her own life. Once the free app is downloaded, you can utilize tools such as smart tracking, note taking, taxi information, and restaurant information as well.

Smart tracking allows for users to track their alcohol consumption over the course of an evening. No more trying to remember how many drinks you’ve had; that’s where the trouble usually starts. Now you can easily document each drink you guzzle down. Furthermore, the personal activity tracker graphs your consumption and finds trends in your drinking habits. This way, you can become educated about your alcohol consumption down to preference and amount you drink. Another great feature is the taxi feature. Lets say you do utilize Alcohoot, only to find out that you are over the legal limit. No worries. With Alcohoot, you can call a taxi with the touch of a button. Need to sober up? Not a problem. Alcohoot also helps you navigate to restaurants within walking distance and open late to help you grab a quick meal to help bring you back to reality.

A key attribute of Alcohoot is that its accuracy is substantial. Alcohoot is actually based on fuel-cell technology, the very same technology used by police officers that issue breathalyzer tests. With its portability, reliability, and useful feature list, Alcohoot proves to be an app worth adding to your smartphone, whether you use the App Store or Google Play.
No more excuses. Drink responsibly, wherever and whenever.
