We working stiffs who wake up and go to an office every business day often look forward to Fridays. We get a break from corporate dress, and we get to be a little more comfortable at the office. Twitter, however, has taken the concept of "casual Friday" and turned it into something much more meaningful.
Twitter has decided to begin reserving Fridays not for wearing jeans, but for going out and performing community service. For instance, people in its New York office
took time to do volunteer work for Hurricane Sandy victims.
John Koon, a Twitter employee, tweeted a picture
of laptops given to elementary school teachers.
So, when are we going to see a few more companies besides Twitter in the #fridayforgood mix?
Hopefully very, very soon.
