MiracleBodyMiraclebody Jeans recently ran a contest in search of the “Women who shape our lives.”  It began in April and ended in mid-May and highlighted how "the woman next door" may be making remarkable differences in the lives of others.

Made by the same company as Miraclesuit, the top brand designer of control swim wear that makes women look shapelier, Miraclebody Jeans follows suit and provides women of all shapes and sizes with form-flattering control apparel that includes jeans, tops, skirts, and leggings.

According to the press release: “There are so many amazing women out there who have inspiring stories to share,” said Sandra Davidoff, corporate communications director for Miraclebody Jeans. “Whether they are mothers, daughters, friends or relatives … teachers, coaches, in the armed forces, nurses, doctors, volunteers, our favorite neighbor who we always lean on, we all know someone who has really made a real difference in our lives.

"This campaign seems like a natural for us since our brand is about 'shaping the women who shape our lives.'”

Nominations poured in, and the field narrowed to 10 semi-finalists from nearly 1,000 recommendations. Each won a denim wardrobe from Miraclebody valued at $330.

The four winners are:
  • Darlan Monterisi, a Marine Corps Captain and PR specialist from Long Island City, NY.
  • Marla Grace Roque-Wylie, a mother of an autistic child fighting against the disorder from Irvine, CA.
  • Megan Sikorski, a doula and pediatric oncology nurse from New York City.
  • Mary Cole Watson, a teacher and coach from Cleveland Heights, OH.
The winners will appear on Weshapewomen.com, Facebook, and other national media outlets. The four recently flew to New York City for a photo shoot with a fashion photographer, and the images will appear in ad form in August's PEOPLE StyleWatch magazine.

In addition, the winners also receive consultative services from celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and a makeover at the Sally Hershberger Downtown salon. The total prize package is valued over $250,000.

Art director Rachael Bergstein built the ad from photos taken during the fashion shoot.
