|Is Peach a New Social Media Powerhouse?
By: Jessica Cherok
If you like Vine, chances are you’ll like Peach. Even if you don’t like Vine, you’ll probably like Peach. Let’s face it: Peach is everyone’s new favorite social tool.
You may have never heard of Peach before, but don’t worry about being behind the times. Peach is very new. Like, debuted over the weekend new, but it’s popular enough to have created quite a social media stir.
Via Peach, you can post all kinds of social media updates: video, GIFs, location, TV, or movies, as well as the more traditional posts to your social group. Where Peach excels is in making your social media posts especially personal to you. You can type “shout” to get all caps lettering for your post. You can “draw,” “goodmorning,” “battery,” or “song” in your posts and each turns the post from a boring old status update to something truly personal to you.
Peach is a limited version of the cutesy things you can do on Facebook or Twitter, which makes it both as popular as it is constrained. Peach is cool, but you can’t post long-winded political rants like on Facebook (also, hint, hint: your friends really want you to stop doing that), which actually probably makes Peach cooler in a whole lot of ways.
