We have said time and again how much we enjoy short video and short film when it comes to online advertising. It's creative and teeters on the line between filmmaking and advertising. Advertisers are getting better at using it, too.

We want to direct your attention to the mini-series Norton Anti-Virus did with the help of Grey San Francisco and Beast SF. It follows the jolly man and his workshop as they go through a relevant situation these days: getting hacked and having his "Naughty or Nice" list leaked to the public.

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3

Now, the only downside to this is that with Santa and son giving in to the hackers, those whom would have been deemed naughty get off the hook. But the ad does get the point across that it wouldn't have happened if the 1700-year-old man had called Norton to get protected. Sometimes new things are tough to adopt.

Either way, we enjoyed how Norton and Grey had fun with this, and the three parts helped Norton get close to 2 million hits on the three total videos. No holiday miracle, just good creative.
