|We Missed You, Adele!
By: Cindy Wendland
It seems we are fascinated with singers and music. We play music on our phones, iPods, and laptops and listen everywhere we go. We watch American Idol and The Voice and hope to see new talent discovered. The other day, we heard a great song and all said, “We think that’s Adele!” Sadly it wasn’t, since we haven’t heard anything from her since the song for the Bond movie Skyfall. Hold on, fans, her next album is coming out in November and a new video is available for her single "Hello."
Adele’s new album 25 is due out on November 20, 2015. On her website, it is available for pre-order. Her albums are numbered and seem to correlate with her age. Her first album was19, then she released 21, then the single "Skyfall," and now we await 25.
Adele does not want to become a mass-market brand. She refuses to align with any other brand and has other strategies to keep her music and name pure. She does not want to play festivals or large locations. She stopped tweeting about two years ago. She does not want the world to know every detail about her. She wants her music to speak for itself.
We applaud you, Adele, for how you approach your music and branding, and we eagerly await the release of your new album 25, which is sure to be another hit.
