Most likely, we all remember the Hungarian camerawoman who tripped a refugee carrying a small child in September 2014. Not unexpectedly, the Internet exploded with comments about her actions. Now, the camerawoman, Petra Lasizo, is suing Facebook for its part in the backlash.

Lasizo has repeatedly claimed that her actions were a response to fear she felt when migrants broke though a police barrier and began running across a field. Tripping the man carrying the child was out of panic, and certainly not racism, Lasizo said.

In an interview with a Russian newspaper, Lasizo now claims that her "life is ruined" and that it is "unlikely that I will be able to find a job and do what I like the most." She goes on to claim that Facebook's allowing of nearly a dozen Petra Lasizo accounts is tantamount to prejudice.

The tripped refugee, Osama Abdul Mohsen, has since landed in Spain where he has gotten work as a football coach. Lasizo still asserts that the man is lying about what happened, and has continuously changed his story about what happened.

Whether or not Lasizo is successful in her case against Facebook could involve the content of the fake pages. One page in particular included $20,000 for the murder of Lasizo.
