|Dress Like a Tumblr Post IRL
By: Jessica Cherok
In yet another example of "these darn kids today," Tumblr has announced that it's partnering with Print All Over Me to launch a new clothing line. The line is debuting this week at New Your Fashion Week, and was available on PAOM's website starting September 14.
Some of Tumblr's most popular artists' designs will now be IRL because ,according to Tumblr Fashion Evangelist Valentine Uhovski, "We wanted every look to feel like a Tumblr post. When you enter the pop-up shop, you'll feel like you're inside of a Tumblr dashboard."
While Tumblr is wildly popular, the idea of dressing like a Tumblr post seems ridiculous. After all, unless you are a diehard Tumblr user, the line would have little more appeal than any other clothing line with giant hamburger and pastel cat prints.
And it's admittedly hard to become a diehard Tumblr user. The site is confusing in setup, and even more befuddling to share on other social sites. Think about it — when was the last time you saw a Tumblr link on Facebook or Twitter? If your answer is "once" or "never," you're in the vast majority.
The items, which include shirts, dresses, yoga pants and more, cost between $30 and $250. The line was launched as part of Tumblr's 10-year anniversary.
