Charge Your Phone Without Plugging It In |

We’re on a road trip. There are four of us and that means we all have multiple devices that need to be charged at the end of the day — phones, laptops, GPS watch, etc. We are scrambling around the hotel room looking for outlets to connect everything. In the restaurant, we saw Samsung’s commercial about the wireless charging pad for the S6. We got really excited because we consider that to be a fabulous direction for technology.
Imagine the next time you go into a hotel room and there are charging pads. You set all your devices on there and poof, they start charging. No more unplugging clocks, moving beds, and wrestling for the outlets. Set it down and forget about it. That is beautiful.
We talked about the endless possibilities. We are so digitally connected that furniture makers are seeing the potential and are designing furniture with charging pads. That simplifies our life and it looks better without having multiple cords lying around.
Samsung took a nice approach with their charging pad. They wanted their customers to have the best experience, and they wanted to control the experience. So, they branded their own charging pad and are offering it to customers. The pad still has to be plugged in, so it is not completely wireless, but we’re sure it will get there eventually. You only have to plug in the pad once. You don’t have to plug in the phone every time to charge it. You just set it down. It’s a great advancement in technology. Looking forward to upgrading to the S6.
