While celebrities today receive more ‘whoopdeedoo’ for simply joining the parenthood club, it is something all men can do…..no stardom required. Yet, all Dads may be benefitting from trending stars by earning instant Dad ‘cred’ as a result.

Father’s Day is a holiday that has been vying for an official spot on the calendar since 1907 and only officially becoming a permanent national holiday after President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972, has always played second fiddle to Mother’s Day.  But thanks to celebrity status ‘FD’ 2015 is finally receiving the recognition it de$erves.

And, as much as fathers may like the attention, businesses love it more and have embraced the romance through a noticeable slew of advertising campaigns reminding all to remember Dad on his special day.

Suddenly Father’s Day ads are abundant in television commercials, print and digital ads. This year companies started shouting out their clever wares with good wishes in email headlines not long after Mother’s Day.  For example:

Goldbely: Best of Father’s Day: BBQ, Lobster, Steaks & More
Popsugar Must Have Special Offer Inside! It’s Time to Treat Dad
Hemmings Motor News: Exclusive Gifts for Father’s Day
Wix.com: Find Dad a Gift He’ll Love. (…from creative businesses users have created)
Birchbox for Men: A Special Collection of Products Just For Dad
Barneys New York: Curated Picks For Every Kind of Dad
NYT Sophisticated Shopper: Discover Last-Minute Father’s Day Gifts
Montage Beverly Hills: Father’s Day at Montage Beverly Hills

Gone are the boring ties, tools and mugs. Today, marketing gurus want your man feel like not only a King but more like a celebrity, by offering the unique, the luxe in gift ideas that can often be ordered from a website before you can say, “Happy Father’s Day!”

Because smart minds have taken advantage of a very celebrated opportunity, Father’s Day is no longer just a blip on the calendar radar.  Bottom line, shopping for Dad has never been easier.  Some gifts can even be done seconds before the advertising clock strikes Father’s Day, with instant email for prompt delivery. (but don't let Dad know!)

You could say business+advertising= Happy Father’s Day and possibly happier for first timers!
