Eco-Friendly Advertisers Have Unique Opportunities

Advertising that can create and motivate social change will continue to be a major theme as Millennials and the upcoming generation fill the opening spots in the advertising community. It is no wonder why, for scientists and global observers are seeing and reporting increasing needs to take better care of the environment and for each other.

And since advertising is arguably a delayed reflection of society, it makes sense that social advertising and "goodvertising" is experiencing slow yet noticeable growth.

An interesting startup company that encompasses this shift is Greene Skirts. Greene Skirts provides skirts to truckers for no cost, since the cost is covered by the advertiser printed on the skirt. Why is this important? It has been researched that truck skirts save on fuel; and it reduces the spray from the trailer on passing cars.

Plus, for advertisers, it's a moving ad. Out-of-home advertising (OOH) has been exploding due to the transient nature of our consuming public. People stay moving, and take different routes, visit different stores, and so to regularly reach the right consumers, brands are adopting more OOH strategies.

And Greene Skirts can help with that reach.

Saving the environment, adding an additional channel of advertising, and making a profit? Not a bad idea at all, Greene Skirts.
