Masterful Elements from Master Chef

Our kids DVR Master Chef, so we end up watching it as a family. In addition, a local 19-year-old made the show, so our interest was piqued and we tuned in to see how he would do. As a result, we all became quite enamored with the show and watched each episode. As the competition narrowed down to only three people, Master Chef stepped it up and displayed a masterful marketing technique.

Master Chef brought in 50 chefs from around the country — one from each state — to taste and critique the entrees from the final three contestants. It was an impressive display of talent and power as they paraded in and a brilliant idea. The most impressive part is what will happen after they leave the episode of Master Chef.

Once these top chefs leave Master Chef and head back home, they will begin promoting Master Chef in their state. They will update their websites. They will issue press releases. They will do a social media blitz. Master Chef just kicked off organic marketing in all 50 states simultaneously. The impact of that will be quite significant and is an interesting idea to emulate. How can you take your product and get others to write about it, talk about it, post about it in all 50 states at the same time? If you can do it, you will enjoy incredible magnified exposure too.
