Asserting Expertise Requires An Expert's Caution

There are tools these days for becoming known on the web and establishing, or seeking to establish, yourself as an expert there, and Vocus lists them. But take care. Building identity on Quora, for example, might be a tempting notion, but be sure you're up to the challenge of maintaining credibility in everything you do or say. Asserted expertise can easily misfire.

You might well not need this caution, but we thought we'd provide it anyway. Good luck out there!
